NC Medicaid Update
The NC Tracks System will go live on July 1, 2013, replacing the 35-year old NC Medicaid claims processing system known as Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
During the transition, Medicaid has announced that all claims in the old system will be reimbursed on June 28, 2013. There will be a one-week blackout period during the first week of July. All claims submitted between June 20, 2013 – July 5, 2013 are expected to be paid on July 10, 2013. They have anticipated a backlog of claims with the remainder of those claims being paid on the July 16 checkwrite. Thereafter, providers should expect a weekly Medicaid checkwrite.
