NC Medicaid Update
The NC Tracks System went live on July 1, 2013, replacing the 35-year old NC Medicaid claims processing system known as Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
During the transition, Medicaid announced a one-week blackout period during the first week of July. All claims submitted between June 20, 2013 – July 5, 2013 were expected to be paid on July 10, 2013.
While the transition did occur on July 1 as expected, they have announced several glitches with the new system so far. Medicaid providers statewide are preparing for payment delays beyond what was originally expected.
EMSMC is committed to ensuring that the claims are filed and will be in constant contact with the program until payment is received. We will continue to keep you aware of any further potential delays.
