November 22, 2017 (Winston-Salem, NC) – EMS Management & Consultants (EMS|MC), a third-party EMS and ambulance billing company, was honored as one of the Healthiest Employers of 2017 in the Triad by the Triad Business Journal (www.bizjournals.com/triad) and was ranked third overall in the small business category.
On November 16, 2017, EMS|MC was recognized in an awards ceremony at the Starmount Country Club highlighting EMS|MC’s wellness program with activities ranging from stretching, meditation, and much more.
EMS|MC’s wellness program began in 2013 with what EMS|MC’s medical vendor provided, which included biometric screenings and a wellness portal. EMS|MC has since added different activities such as on-site lunch and learns, a farmer’s market and healthy vending. Participation surged in late 2015 as it took on a holistic approach, giving employees the opportunity to enjoy individualized wellness activities. It also expanded offerings to all employees, not just those enrolled in its medical plan.
