That’s why we’re proud to partner with the American Red Cross for a virtual blood drive as part of our EMS|MC Community Cares program. Donating blood is a powerful way to give back — it saves lives, strengthens communities, and supports the very system we serve.
Earlier this month, the American Red Cross warned of an ongoing national blood shortage — a situation expected to worsen with the arrival of hurricane season and severe summer weather.
As one Red Cross leader put it, “Even when hospitals are fully stocked with blood products, sudden events can cause a rapid drop in the availability of lifesaving transfusions.”
